Do you have pets?

We have chosen to not have any more pets. It’s nice to pack up and go when we want a day trip or to travel without having to worry about who would take care of our pet or, traveling with them how inconvenient it is.

Biggest changes from the film series to TV series?

I think it'll take some getting use to seeing different actors and actress' playing all the characters. But I think we'll get to see more stuff from the books than what they were able to put into the movies.

Favorite actors from the films

I loved Gary Oldman's portrayal of Sirius Black. I also love Warrick Davis as Professor Flitwick. I'm glad they brought him on in the tv show to play that role again.

Do you have a favourite writing spot?

Normally, when I write it's at the coffee table in the middle of my living room. It's easy for me to sit on the couch and spread out my stuff on the coffee table.

What books do you like reading?

I move around from one genre to the next. I'll do horror, mystery, suspense/thriller, fantasy, crime drama, occasionally from historical fiction or romance (depends on what it is), and the list goes on.

I love Darcy Coates. She's a good horror author. If they wanted to make some horror movies, they could just base it on some of her work.

Tablet or e-reader do you use?

I have a Kindle Fire but I've had mine a couple of years, at least. I don't even remember when I got it. I'm sure it's not the latest Kindle Fire or from this generation. But it's still in good working order so far so I've not bothered with upgrading or anything. Kinda don't see the point.

"The House at the Edge of Magic"

I finished reading this and thought I'd share. This is a good book to read for the kiddos (or something you can read out loud to your kids, if you enjoy doing so). This book was fun and whimsical. The Lord of the Rings

I've seen the original Lord of the Rings movies. I haven't watched the movies related to the Hobbit (that I remember anyway). I thought Peter Jackson did a good job on the original movies. I had read the books, including the Hobbit, year ago. I read them right before I went to see the movie.

There are a couple of local authors that I know and I try my best to support their work. I even have their books autographed. I've read some of them while others are sitting on my to be read pile.

Can you read in a noisy environment?

Well, I'm use to my hubby watching something on tv while I'm reading. So, I'm use to a certain noise level at home. Even when my hubby is not home, the tv is usually on just because I'm already use to the noise. So, I can handle certain noises going on in the background. If it's too noisy, I'll just remove myself from that area and go somewhere that's not as bad with the noises.

I think it really depends on the noise level for me. If it's a movie playing in the background, sure I can read if the sound isn't too loud. But if it's in a restaurant, there's no way I can read. On some airplanes, I can read but others, the sound level of the engines is too loud to concentrate on anything except wishing the plane would soon land.
